About Us

Midwest Gift & Fudge House originally started in a historic brick one room school house built in 1927, which was formally called Ainsworth School.

The original chalkboard, wooden floors, brick walls, and old time desks added to the decor enriching the shopping experience. The school was in operation until the 1960s. It was then used for storage by the Shawano School District. In the early 1990s, after being renovated, Country School Charm opened its doors, selling fudge and hand crafts, then at the end of that decade it was sold to Midwest Gift & Fudge House. We have extended our famous line of fudge to over 200 varieties and have also upgraded from hand crafted items to extensive high-end gifts.

Our line of products includes gifts for Green Bay Packers fans, Harley Davidson fans, Stone Critters line of dogs, fragmented soy candles, soaps, oak-framed prints, Baldwin Products, Malden Frames, Seth Thomas clocks, Simply Home throws, cabin decor, bear, eagle, wolf, moose, and garden products.

UPDATE-- We have moved now to a new location in downtown Shawano. We partnered up with our sister store - the only other exclusive gift shop in Shawano - Sprit of the Northwoods on Main St in Shawano. It was at one point in time a department store. It will take you a few times around the store to see every thing we have to offer. Stop on in when you're in the area to enjoy cabin and home decor. antiques, fudge, clothing jewelry and much more.
